Solar Photovoltaic (PV)
Photovoltaic systems use cells to convert solar radiation into electricity. The PV cell consists of one or two layers of a semi conducting material, usually silicon. When light shines on the cell it creates an electric field across the layers, causing electricity to flow. The stronger the sunshine, the more electricity is produced.
Since April 2010 the UK Government has introduced an incentive for people who are interested in this technology this is called the Feed-In-Tariff (FIT)
Heat Pumps
Ground source heat pumps use pipes buried in the garden to extract heat from the ground. Air source heat pumps absorbe heat from the outside air.
Water Harvesting
Grey & Rain water harvesting is wastewater generated from domestic activities, which can be recycled on-site and used for a variety of tasks.
Testimonials
I'm really pleased with it, I think it's great for me as my electricity bills have reduced considerably. Plus I am playing a part in saving the planet! What better benefit than that?

Still much more needs to be done.
